  • We teach Salsa On2 style.

  • We are in Raleigh, Durham, Chapel-Hill Triangle area of North Carolina, we teach normally at Triangle Dance Studio, (TDS Space) on Google Maps located on Miami Blvd — specific class information HERE. Our team is has our private studio space in Raleigh.

  • Primary instructors and directors of the company are James & Peiwei Cobo. You can find out more about them and all of our team members HERE

  • No, you don’t need a partner to attend classes. Semester classes are structured to rotate partnership.

  • There are different levels depending on the class, our semester classes currently run through Level 1 through Level 2. You can check out these class information HERE

    Higher level classes & specialty classes are currently offered by invite only through Mini classes, privates or to our company members. If you are interested in classes other than those published on our website, please email us directly at info@cobobrothers.com

  • For Level 1 semester classes & open level classes, no. For Level 1 Int/Adv, L2 you MUST be evaluated in order to attend.

  • We developed a syllabus & evaluation system for our students in order to maximize the students ability to learn, & absorb information better in classes. Salsa as we know it today has many different aspects, not just the dance steps. Each level is taught different materials with different focus.

  • Semester classes are NOT drop-ins. You must register in advance for the series. There are drop-in classes from time to time but please stay tuned on our social media(Facebook, Instagram, & this website) for these classes.

    • Register now for your desired level and we will adjust the price for you after evaluation.

    • Or register for evaluation and we will send you registration fee that matches your price.

  • Each time you refer a new student to our Salsa Semester, you will receive a $20 refund, and new student will receive a $15 discount.

    ***For existing semester students to refer, not for first time semester students*** (i.e. if this is your first time attending semester class, you will not be able use this discount)

    ***For existing semester students, please check your placement email for referral code!

  • We have a facebook group for all students who are attending semester classes to view the summary materials weekly. It will not replace all the technical details and practice in class, but at least students get a reminder of what the class covers. Students are encouraged to practice on their own during the semester, which is also why the students in Level 1 can also attend Thursday social dance parties for free.

    We do not pro-rate the classes for students who are absent.

    We do not keep a strict attendance policy since it is more of a self motivated class, progress & or attendance is up to the students. normally there are students who can't make all the classes, but everyone still has a great time!

    • Semester classes holds a NO REFUND AFTER FIRST DAY OF CLASS POLICY.

    • NO REFUND for all other classes, workshops and event ticket sales online.

    • Please email info@cobobrothers.com for a refund request.

  • You are not required to have latin dance shoes in class, however you are encouraged to wear them. If you do not have latin dance shoes, something comfortable, light-weight & soft sole shoes are preferable.

    If you are interested in purchasing latin dance shoes, here are some dance shoe makers that our company trust and used for our dancers: RayRose, ReinaDanza, Supadance, International Dance.

  • Latin dance shoes that are listed above are professionally recommended dance heels/shoes maker. Local dance stores mostly do not carry these brands. These shoes are more durable, fit better & you might them more comfortable than cheaper options.

  • Athletic, comfortable clothing preferred.
